Horseback riding at Walden Creek Stables is sure to please any guest of Sunset Cottage Rentals. Located near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Walden Creek Stables offers guided trail rides through 500 acres on a Tennessee horse ranch, a Wild West Show and Western wedding ceremonies.

 

What better place to go horseback riding than the foothills of the Smoky Mountains? At Walden Creek Stables, Sunset Cottage guests not only get to enjoy horseback riding, but also experience a true western adventure when vacationing in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area of East Tennessee.

 

Never been horseback riding before? No problem. With several different trail rides, ranging from one or two hours to seven hours in length, Walden Creek can accommodate beginning horseback riders as well as the most experienced. Walden Creek Stables also offers night rides during the warmer months. Another Walden Creek Stables attraction is its seasonal Wild West Show and Hay Ride, featuring singing cowboys, gunfighting and trick riding.

 

For couples thinking of getting married in the Smokies, Walden Creek Stables offers Western wedding ceremonies, both formal and informal. The bride and groom can even get married on horseback.

 

Sunset Cottage guests in search of Western togs for their Smoky Mountain vacation will find everything they need at the Walden Creek Stables gift shop. The shop sells Western jewelry, boots, cowboy hats, shirts, saddles and more.

 

Walden Creek Stables Operating Schedule

Walden Creek riding stables is open year-round and offers guided horseback rides daily, even on Christmas Day. Ride times vary. A night ride is offered several times during the summer and early fall. The Wild West Show & Hay Ride is scheduled most Friday evenings from late May through late October. Overnight rides are held in conjunction with the Wild West Show.
