Gatlinburg Winter Magic

November 4 - February 28, 2010

Bundle up for holiday lights and sights during Gatlinburg Winter Magic where sightseers gaze at lighted displays around the city. Gatlinburg Winter Magic is part of the four month long Winterfest Celebration taking place throughout the Smokies. With millions of spectacular lights on display, a holiday craft show, the New Year’s Ball Drop and Trolley Ride of Lights, Gatlinburg transforms into a winter wonderland you won’t want to miss.

 

Gatlinburg Trolley Ride of Lights Schedule
November 5 – January 31, 2009
Hop aboard the Trolley Ride of Lights in Gatlinburg, TN where families, couples and kids of all ages can be seen from blocks away touring the city for spectacular lights on homes and businesses glowing with the holiday spirit.

Riding the Gatlinburg trolley is a tradition locals and visitors look forward to all year long. It’s a fun and safe way to see colorful creativity and makes for a memorable holiday outing. You’ll see friends’ and families’ faces light up with smiles at every dazzling display. Photographs make wonderful keepsakes and holiday postcards for friends and relatives. Singing carols adds to the fun and you’ll get great ideas for lighting up your own home too.

Tours leave nightly from Ripley’s Aquarium Plaza at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. except during December. The Trolley runs each Saturday in January. Call (865) 436-0535 to make reservations for the Gatlinburg Trolley Ride of Lights starting October 15th.

 

21st New Year's Eve Fireworks Show & Ball Drop 
December 31, 2009
Watch the New Year’s Eve ball drop and fireworks show with thousands of revelers in downtown Gatlinburg. Crowds gather for the street party of the year to see the Space Needle light up the sky with a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks and music show starts when the New Years Eve ball drops at the stroke of midnight. The free celebration includes music and party favors to ring in the New Year.
