Tennessee Weather
Tennessee weather tends to be hot and humid in the summer. The Smoky Mountain weather gets cooler the higher you are in them.
Expect our Tennessee weather to range from 66-90 F or 19-32 C, between June and August. Be aware that the humidity climbs within that time too. Expect thunderstorms in summer, especially in July in the Smoky Mountains. The Smokies are comfortably warm on summer days with cool nights.
Spring and autumn mean cooler Smoky Mountain weather, 70-85 F or 21-29 C. Plus at this time there is a slight drop in humidity making for comfortable touring adventures.
Winters are mild (seldom below 10 F or -12 C), but they're often wet. Snow rarely lasts more than a few days except in the mountains. April and May temperatures range 53-87 F or 11-30 C, though spring weather can be unsettled. Also make note that at this time in the Smoky Mountains the weather can be between 42-76 F or 5-24 C.
