If bride has had a name change in her divorce and has not had her name changed on her driver's license, she will need to provide a certified copy of her divorce decree.

Fee for Out-of-State couples:  Marriage Licenses issued in Sevier County are $45.00.  Couples stopping in any other county within Tennessee must pay $105.00 for their marriage license or present a certificate of completion for 4 hours marriage counseling at which time they may then pay $45.00.  Cash, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

Fee for Tennessee State Residents:  Marriage Licenses issued throughout Tennessee are $105.00.  Cash, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.  The $60.00 fee will be waived if the applicants complete a 4 hour premarital preparation course and present a certificate of completion, which can be obtained through the County Clerk's Office.

Two Marriage Certificates will be issued and must be signed by the wedding couple as well as the minister.  The first is on plain white paper with the birth dates of the couple.  The second is on a frameable gold paper and will not have birth dates on it.
